  1. Matthew, I work on the net neutrality issue with the Hands Off the Internet coalition. I would offer a countering video to highlight the other side of this deabte,

Aside from the catchy videos that both sides employ I would recommend checking out our blog for information on why so called “net neutrality” would be terrible for consumers and the development of the internet. The first effect of proposed net neutrality legislation, Dorgan-Snowe, would be to freeze the broadband marketplace exactly where it is, disallowing not just theoretical abuses but new innovations, too.

In addition, the Internet has never been “neutral” in the way that net neutrality activists claim. There is no utopia to return to; the Net has always been a mishmash of “best effort delivery” networks and loose agreements. Having smart networks, which net neutrality regulation would prohibit, will help to rationalize and improve the existing situation.

Also, best of luck to your Celtics in the lottery draft, 50% chance of getting Oden or Durant isn’t bad and would surely win you a few Atlantic division and NBA titles. Now Ainge just needs to stay away from Durant’s family before he declares for the draft. Thanks.

  2. Thanks for chiming in, Wilson. All good food for thought; think I need to do some more reading and meditate on all of the issues at hand.

Yes, if the Celtics were to draft Durant then things would certainly improve!
